Kevye West: 808s & Expiration Dates (Guac Lockdown)

Pitch auto-correction and a simple beat can make anything chart-worthy; even a freestyle about guacamole and expired milk. In case anyone's curious, the music took fifteen minutes, the vocals took five and it was all created in GarageBand with built-in effects. Joe shot the video with me in about six hours over the course of a weekend, assembled a pretty much final edit in an hour, and Luis polished everything up in After Effects in an evening or two.

I went to FOD and voted for it (it's doing very well), and gave it a 5 star on youtube (I'm leberpr, and that's a long story). I spread the Kevye greatness to my friends in France and Peru, but I don't think they know who Kanye is :P
Great vid, and even better that you can do it all in GarageBand with a little After Effects spit and polish.
dude, did you really have to include the line about his dead mother? i mean seriously, how is that remotely funny and what does it have to do with the joke? it is really fucked up, in extremely poor taste and most importantly it really takes away from the humor of your whole video. for all the idiots who will respond negatively to my comment, my objection to you including that line does not mean i take myself too seriously. it means that i understand making a joke about the death of someone's mother is simply not funny.
i would really like to see if you have the balls to take responsibility and admit you went too far. but i won't hold my breath since judging from the production on this video, it is obvious that you intended for it to help you cross over more into the mainstream. hell, you probably added the line just to make it more controversial and get more attention than you would have gotten without it.

Seriously dude, I give you the maddest props ever for proving that anybody can sound good on the vocoder. Maybe it's just me but didn't hip-hop and R&B used to be good? For the most part I have totally abandoned those genres because I HATE the vocoder.
